Park City, UT, United States (4E) – Former first daughter Malia Obama was spotted at the Sundance Film Festival and watched one of the movies during the event.

The 18-year-old went to the Park City’s Yarrow Theater to watch the screening of the flick “Beach Rats.” The movie is said to be a drama and focused on an aimless teen who hooks up with older men while entering into a relationship with a young woman. An insider said that she told a Sundance Film Festival staffer that it was interesting but it was unclear if she was pertaining to “Beach Rats” since there were another flicks shown.

Obama is taking a gap year before she attends Harvard University. She will, however, be taking an internship with Harvey Weinstein. The former first daughter was spotted wearing a brown goose jacket and a snow hat.

Obama and her sister, Sasha, have been under scrutiny for being in the White House for eight years. Another movie screened during the Sundance Film Festival is a documentary called “Strong Island.” It was not clear if Obama watched the documentary as well. It was about racism and injustice.

The Sundance Film Festival sighting came days after she was said to be spotted at a bar in Washington, D.C. on January 13. An eyewitness claimed that Obama was seen drinking and was having a great time. The eyewitness added, “She was with a bunch of young, tough body guards but they looked too young to be Secret Service. A guy came up to her and tried to flirt but she didn’t give him the time of day. She looked like she was having a great time.” These claims were not confirmed.
