New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Megyn Kelly recently talked about her public feud with president Donald Trump noting that it made her closer to her husband and made their marriage stronger.
The media personality, who recently resigned from her post on Fox News to transfer to NBC News, took to Facebook Live on Thursday to talk about her public feud with the 70-year-old then-Republican nominee. She revealed that the campaign period was one of the toughest years of her life.
The 46-year-old noted of her new book “Settle For More,” “But the book is not about Donald trump — he’s in there and thankfully he and I are on very good terms now — but he’s in there for a few chapters just because we did have this weirdness between us. But I think the reason he’s in there and the way we discuss now President Trump is just to show you that great adversity provides great opportunity.” She noted that the experience of feuding with Trump made hear learn a lot about herself.
One of the positive things brought about by the public feud was a stronger relationship with her husband, Douglas Brunt. She said that aside from getting to know herself better, she became closer to her husband and proved certain things to herself. She also said that she and her team got closer.
More on Kelly, she has no official role in NBC yet but chairman Andrew Lack said she will be having three roles, which are hosting of a new daytime news and discussion program, anchoring a Sunday night news show, and taking part in the special political programming and other big events of the network. It was recently announced that she might be taking over “Today’s” third hour or the slot of Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb‘s 10:00 A.M. show.
The third hour of “Today” was hosted by Tamron Hall and Al Roker . Hall took to social media to say that she is resigning from NBC after her contract expires this month. Many believe that the resignation was due to Kelly taking over their timeslot .
In a statement by Hall, she said, “The last ten years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful. I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.”
