Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Singer Michael Buble recently announced that his eldest son is suffering from cancer and his sister-in-law cleared the rumors that his nephew has leukemia.
Daniela Lopilato , the sister-in-law of Buble , said in a statement via an Argentinian TV station that the public should stop speculating about the illness of three-year-old Noah. She noted that the family is broken in half after the diagnosis.
Lopilato added, “Michael and my sister will publish more statements and I can’t say anymore but it’s not leukemia or the central nervous system as people are saying. That’s all I can say. The only thing I ask if that you don’t speculate because not everyone has children and can understand what this means.”
Buble and his wife, Luisana , said in a statement on Friday that initially, they thought their son was suffering from mumps. They then had him checked and were devastated by the results of the diagnosis. Noah is currently receiving treatment in the United States noting that they always talked about the importance of family and they love that they have for their children. The announcement was made via Facebook.
The couple did not specify what kind of cancer Noah was suffering from. The two did say, however, that they are putting their careers on hold to get the right treatment for their son. They said that they wanted to devote all their time and attention to help Noah get well.
They ended their statement with, “At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”
The couple also has another son named Elias, who is 10 months old. They got married in 2011. A source said that the family remains to be positive and believes that Noah is a fighter.
