Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Niall Horan slammed rumors claiming that he will be leaving One Direction but he did say that he has been in the studio writing during the hiatus of the British boy band.

Many have been saying that Horan is breaking away from One Direction for good as he is gearing up for his solo career but in his latest interview, it does not seem that way. The 22-year-old was said to have struck a deal with Syco Music but in his Sugar Scope interview, he shared, “Yeah, I’ve just been in the studio, nothing sneaky, nothing in particular going on. Writing is always something I’ve enjoyed, as you know, and I’ve written with a few of the lads I’ve made relationships with down the years.”

He added that he has been able to call some people and they go in the studio and write music together. He did not, however, give away other details regarding this. Horan did not confirm if he will be releasing new music while One Direction is on break.

One of the people that Horan is said to be meeting up with in the studio is Wayne Hector. Hector is the man behind One Direction’s hits such as “Best Song Ever” and “Little White Lies.”

Hector shared in a statement recently, “We are writing together, but he wants to do it for himself and not other people at the moment. We have no idea where we will end up. Niall wants to enjoy time off.”

The other members of the band, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles are also busy with their private lives since their hiatus started.
