Nick Cannon reacts to Mariah Carey’s engagement to billionaire James Packer

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Nick Cannon has reacted to the engagement of his ex-wife Mariah Carey to Australian billionaire James Packer via an Instagram post.
The 48-year-old businessman proposed to the 45-year-old Grammy-winning singer last week with a 35-carat diamond engagement ring.
As per Cannon’s post, a photo of him from the satirical BET reality show “Real Husbands of Hollywood” alongside Kevin Hart bore the words “It’s just a ring Nick.” His caption then read: "Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS! # AllLove Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union… # GreatPeople # GreatCouple ."
An insider also shared that Cannon is really happy for his ex-wife. The insider added, "Nick is happy for them. Nick's children like Packer and he treats them well, so that's what he cares about. Nick is on very good terms with Carey. Nick is really just focused on his career at the moment." The TV and radio personality also reportedly knew that Carey and Packer will get engaged based on the progress of their relationship although he was not given a heads up regarding their announcement.
The source also said that Cannon wants Carey to be happy and will support her decisions as long as their children are in good hands. The source noted, "Mariah will always be in Nick's life that will never change. It makes Nick happy that Mariah is in a great place in her life between work and love."
Cannon and Carey divorce in December of 2014 after the former filed the separation documents from the latter. They are the parents of their four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. As for Packer, he has been married twice and his most recent split was from his second wife Erica Baxter back in 2013. Packer and Baxter have three children together.
Carey and Packer began dating last summer and have been spotted traveling together and sometimes the twins of the former are also with them. They recently visited Europe and Israel last year.
