Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E) – Nicki Minaj will headline the 2017 Billboard Music Awards with a nine-minute performance as Dick Clark productions confirmed.
According to the announcement, the guests for her performance are David Guetta, Jason Derulo and Lil Wayne. This is the fourth time Minaj will appear on the annual awards show but is her first television performance after she broke Aretha Franklin’s record for Female Artist charting the most songs on Billboard Hot 100.
Minaj is also nominated in the fan-voted Billboard Chart Achievement category. She is up against Luke Bryan, The Chainsmokers, The Weeknd and Twenty One Pilots. The voting for this category will remain open until one hour into the live ceremony. The Billboard Music Awards will be on Sunday in Las Vegas at 8 P.M. at the T-Mobile Arena.
The other performers who will grace the stage of the BBMAs are Bruno Mars, Camilla Cabello, Celine Dion, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Sam Hunt and The Chainsmokers. Cher, who is the 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award recipient, will also be performing.
The hosts of the awards show are Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens. In the past, Ludacris hosted the BBMAs alongside Chrissy Teigen and Ciara.
In a recent interview with Ludacris, he said of hosting with Hudgens, “It's always good to have different dynamics, just to keep the show exciting and keep people on their toes by having different women, because you have that ying and that yang. Every time it's going to be different, so it's not like you're doing the same thing every time.”
