Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – “Once Upon A Time” actress Emilie de Ravin took to Twitter on Thursday to ask American Airlines to dismiss their employee who yanked her breast pump carry-on from her while she was boarding a flight at the LAX.
According to the actress, she was holding the breast pump carry-on, as she just recently gave birth, when the female attendant used physical force to grab the bag out of her hands.
The star wrote, "Dear @AmericanAir I was grabbed forcefully,my carry on bag ripped out of my hand @ lax this morning by AA employee A. 3 witnesses.”
In another tweet, she made her request to American Airlines saying, “By and @AmericanAir female employee…Please kindly dismiss this woman from @americanair employment.”
Ravine added that the pilot was very helpful and apologetic on the woman’s behalf. She was then given the name of the attendant and was given instructions as to where to report the woman.
Despite the pilot's apology, Ravine said that there is no excuse for physical force being used. She then called the woman disgusting but praised American Airlines for a smooth and safe flight.
American Airlines then released a statement saying that they are looking into the situation and that they apologize to Ravine for having to experience such inconvenience.
American Airlines added that passengers are allowed to have two carry-on items and a breast pump is considered a medical device. The breast pump carry-on was eventually allowed on the plane but it remains unknown what prompted the woman to yank it away from Ravine.
