Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Rebel Wilson has revealed in his Marie Claire magazine interview for the July issue that she does not do nude scenes and was asked once for a project but refused to do so.
The actress shared that she was asked to go nude for “The Brother Grimsby” and she said that instead of doing it herself, she asked for a double.
The “Pitch Perfect” actress shared, “They wanted full-frontal nudity. We write in the contract, specifically, 'No nudity.' They got in another girl — this larger burlesque dancer from South Africa — to be a nude double. And they got her to do all this stuff. Sacha [Baron Cohen, the movie's writer and star] would go, 'See, she looks good.' I'm like, 'I'm not doing it. I don't care what you say.'”
Despite her no nudity policy, Wilson said that there could be an exception but not when she is doing comedy films. She said that nude scenes in comedy flicks are not always treated with care. She added, "You want to know that the people [behind the camera] have a certain sensibility and decency."
Aside from not wanting to do nude scenes, Wilson shared that she is not insecure about her body despite not wanting to bare it all. She noted that she loves the way she looks and that she has always used her brain to get to places. Wilson continued, “There's so many glamorous people in Hollywood. I just never want to compete with that.”
As for her love life, Wilson is single after calling it quits with her former beau and fellow comedian Mickey Gooch Jr . Wilson revealed, “I'm very independent. …If you're a successful woman, you want to find the right person, but you don't necessarily need them. I don't want to settle for someone if they're not right but, because I get to do such awesome fun stuff all the time, I really want to share that with somebody.”
