‘RHONY’ drama: Bethenny Frankel does not regret telling Luann de Lesseps her fiancé cheated on her

New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Bethenny Frankel told Luann de Lesseps on “The Real Housewives of New York City” that the latter’s fiancé was cheating on her and the Skinnygirl mogul said she does not regret having done so.
The emotional confrontation between Frankel and de Lesseps was about Frankel telling de Lesseps that she had images showing Tom D’Agostino Jr . cheating, which eventually made the Countess walk out from the room and told the cameras not to follow her.
In a blog written by de Lesseps , she said, "I was blindsided when Bethenny shared with me what her friend saw at the Regency, and I asked the crew to stop filming me so I could process in private. My reaction was honest, and I was in pain." Viewers and de Lesseps felt like Frankell should have not handled the situation the way that she did because she first told the other housewives, Ramona Singer and Carole Radziwill about the photos that she has showing D’Agostino kissing another woman. Viewers also thought that Frankell should not have said it while the cameras were rolling.
However, 45-year-old Frankel said in a statement, "I'm coming from a place of girl-to-girl. I’m coming from a place of girl code – that you tell another girl. I do not pretend to be good friends with LuAnn , I don't pretend to be anything to anybody." She pointed out that she would do everything exactly the same way again if given the chance.
Frankel went on to say she did not know what to do at first especially because de Lesseps did say that she and her former husband had an open marriage, meaning they knew that they were not faithful to one another. She also thought that maybe de Lesseps and D’Agostino might have a stereotypical European relationship thus him being seen kissing another woman.
Frankel added, "I had a picture dated and timestamped , and I thought, 'How could I not tell her? How am I going to sit around here and not tell her?'” Frankel and all the others were at the engagement party of de Lesseps after the photo of D’Agostino was taken and after she told de Lesseps about the cheating.
