Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Rosie O’Donnell and her teenage daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, have not been together for two years now after the actress took to social media to ask help about her missing child and now the teen had a tell-all interview about how she is and what her relationship was from her estranged daughter.
Chelsea had an interview with Daily Mail and claimed she was in an abusive relationship with her mother. She recounted a 2015 incident when Rosie allegedly got so mad at her for getting a tattoo of the word “Breathe.” Chelsea said that Rosie had spyware on her phone so the actress could see everything her daughter did. Rosie then called Chelsea into the room and asked about the tattoo and that the teen should take off her clothes because she wanted to prove that the tattoo is there despite Chelsea’s denial.
The now-19-year-old teen added, "She picked up a wine bottle and started chasing me, trying to take off my clothes. She told me if I didn’t show her, if I tried to leave, that she would hit me with the wine bottle, call the police and tell them that I had attacked her." Chelsea also claimed that her mother never apologized about the incident. The teen noted that she did not go to the police because of who Rosie is so she feared the actress would say her daughter was crazy so the police will not believe whatever she tells them.
Chelsea revealed that was not the first time her arguments with Rosie became physical. When she was 13 or 14 years old and attended a boarding school in Utah, Chelsea got in trouble and Rosie came to see her. Rosie then hit her and the actress was asked to leave. Rosie’s daughter pointed out that the actress has been verbally abusive towards her since she was 12.
As for when she went missing years ago, Chelsea said, "She does things that are going to make her look good. She lied about kicking me out by saying that I'm missing and making everyone all worried. She tries to make people think I'm just crazy and she's this great mother that's trying to save her daughter when none of that's really true. I feel like she's been very dishonest and done things that have really hurt me and my life. I want to clear things up and get the truth out." Chelsea said Rosie knew all the time where she was when she left home.
Chelsea got married secretly to her husband, 31-year-old Nick Alliegro and he said that Rosie tried to talk him into leaving her daughter. Chelsea also had a miscarriage and not an overdose when she was hospitalized. Allegedly, Rosie did not show like she cared about her daughter’s miscarriage.
After the interview with Chelsea came out, Rosie released a statement saying her daughter is mentally ill and has been in and out of hospitals most of her life. The actress also said Chelsea was born addicted to heroin. She then requested news publications to not pay Chelsea for the interviews she makes because she is not capable of reasoning as of the moment.
