Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – One of the most talked about moments during the Oscars Best Picture mix-up was Ryan Gosling noticeably giggling.
During the 89th Academy Awards show, “La La Land” was initially announced as the winner for the Best Picture Award. Seconds after, it was announced that “Moonlight” was the rightful winner. Gosling, who is the leading man for “La La Land,” was spotted laughing after the wrong announcement and he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, “I was watching people start to have this panicked reaction in the crowd. I felt like someone had been hurt. I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head.” He then started to laugh after he knew the real reason for the panicked staff members.
He added he was relieved that there was an explanation for the mix-up and said he was thrilled that “Moonlight” won because it was such a ground-breaking film. He noted he was so happy for them that they were recognized.
Despite the loss against “Moonlight,” “La La Land” won a lot of awards during the Awards season. His counter-lead, actress Emma Stone, won Best Actress during the 89th Oscar Awards.
Gosling also talked with Adobe Chief Marketing Officer Ann Lewnes during his Entertainment Tonight interview. During the talk with Lewnes, he joked about wanting to attend a workshop in order to learn about Photoshop. He also talked about his social media experiences and the meme culture.
