Westchester, NY, United States (4E) – Ryan Reynolds said in a recent statement that his wife is extraordinarily pregnant as the couple is expecting their second baby and he also surprised her with a baby shower.

The surprise baby shower reportedly took place at Bedford Post Inn in Westchester, New York. Lively’s family and friends were there. A source shared that Lively was so surprised and that she had a wonderful day as she was able to celebrate it with her family and gal pals. Reynolds did not attend the shower but served as Lively's chauffeur.

The 39-year-old “Deadpool” actor was at the American Forests for the One Tree initiative, in which he has partnered with Eddie Bauer for it to be launched. Reynolds and Bauer launched their # Hug2Give social media campaign on Wednesday in New York City on Tuesday evening and he talked about his wife, who sometimes joins him in his outdoor activities.

Reynolds said that Lively does not join him as of the moment as she is “extraordinarily regnant right now.” He added that Lively will not join him in hiking in the near future as she is scheduled to give birth soon. He also joked that August is not the best time to be pregnant and go hiking due to excessive heat and humidity.

Aside from that, the soon-to-be father-of-two then talked about why he and Bauer launched the initiative. He said that he grew up Vancouver, British Columbia and he took for granted the natural playground he had in his backyard. He said that as he has gotten older, he watched nature slowly and surely disappear. He and his wife, together with their 20-month-old daughter, James, are staying in upstate New York.

The # Hug2Give social media campaign will be until September 15. Each person that will hug a tree and use the tags # OneTree , # Hug2Give , @EddieBauer and @AmericanForests , Bauer will be donating $50 to American Forests.
