Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Salma Hayek has revealed that she also has some insecurities about her body in her InStyle UK interview as the actress talked about not feeling too confident about herself.
Hayek shared, “Well I'm entering my fifties, so your body confidence at this age is not that good. It depends on the day, for everybody. There are some days where you're like, ‘This is it. This is it, and let's love it!' And there are days that you go, ‘This cannot be it! This can't really be it?' So I think it's like this all the time.”
However, she said that people have to get up and become their own work of art in order to feel like a queen. She added that people should celebrate who they are as well as life noting that this is an experience.
The actress also talked about her new film “Tale of Tales.” The 49-year-old star plays the queen in the movie and she recalled that filming was not at all glamorous as in one scene, she had to eat a heart. She said that it was terrifying and she remembers biting into it and felt something warm. She asked what she was eating and the staff told her it was spaghetti.
She continued to talk about her daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault watching her do the scene and gushed about how her child actually saved her. She shared, "She was six at the time and she was watching the monitor and she saw that I was gagging. We were going over and over and she said, ‘Mom, I'm looking at the shot. When you're eating in this part of the heart, you see your mouth, but in the back you don't. So you can take it from here and spit it out in the back.'”
Hayek said that maybe her daughter has a future in directing.
