New York, NY, United States (4E) – Actress Scarlett Johansson slammed First Daughter Ivanka Trump by calling the mother-of-three a coward.
Johansson was at the annual Women in World Summit in New York City and the actress slammed Trump for her statements when she had an interview with CBS News’ Gayle King. The interview of Trump came after Johansson impersonated her in an advertisement for “Saturday Night Live.” The skit was about a perfume called “Complicit” and had the catchphrase “the fragrance for the woman who could stop all of these but won’t.”
Johansson then said in her CBS interview that she voices out all of her concerns regarding her father’s decision to President Donald Trump in private. Ivanka added it would not make her an effective advocate if every time she disagrees with something, she has to talk about it. Johansson slammed Ivanka for that statement saying, “I thought to myself, ‘Well that’s empowering.’ If you take a job as a public advocate, then you must advocate publicly. It’s such an old-fashioned concept that to be a powerful woman you can’t appear to be concerned [with appearances]. Screw that, it’s so old-fashioned, it’s so uninspired and actually really cowardly.”
Johansson continued she believes Ivanka looking up to Donald as her father is a strange thing and that the first daughter has the opportunity to make an impact by being vocal. She continued to reveal she and Ivanka have several friends in common and met several times before Donald became the president and she knows Ivanka as a very well-spoken, intelligent, and smart woman. With that, she is baffled on how Ivanka is handling things right now.
Ivanka has not yet commented on the latest statements of Johansson.
