Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Selena Gomez seemingly hit back at Justin Bieber for saying that he would make his Instagram account private if his fans will not stop the hate against his rumored girlfriend, Sofia Richie.
Bieber and Richie have been hanging out a lot since being spotted in California and Japan. The two have also been posting photos of them together on Instagram and people have been commenting the snake emoji in reference to Richie.
Bieber’s full statement reads: "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand. If you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like."
Hours after Bieber posted that message to the haters of Richie, Gomez, the ex-girlfriend of Bieber, wrote on her own Instagram account: "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you." After that, Gomez posted a photo collage of her interacting with her fans at different events. She said in the caption that her fans matter the most and thanked them for letting her do what she loves every day.
It seems that Bieber posted comments on the post of Gomez. Bieber reportedly wrote that it is funny to see people who used him for attention and still try to point the finger his way. Another reported comment from the “Sorry” crooner reads: "I'm not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers ." The comments were since deleted.
After Bieber threatened to make his Instagram private, some commenters said that everyone should unfollow him on Instagram and that they feel like he has chosen Richie over his fandom.
Bieber is yet to publicly comment on Gomez’s statement.
