Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Selena Gomez graced the latest issue of Australian Vogue and she talked about dating someone while under the public eye and what she looks for in a man.

Gomez mostly talked about the aftermath that followed her very public relationship with “Sorry” singer Justin Bieber. She shared that for a while, her private life was the most talked about but nobody knows everything and most of the reports are guesses. Gomez pointed out, “You want to do what you love but all this other stuff overshadows it so it makes it a little harder for people to take me seriously.”

The 24-year-old then said that she figured the aftermath of her relationship with Bieber will only be temporary and she felt during that time that she just had to accept it. The “Hands To Myself” songstress then invested her energy, passion, and time for her “Revival” tour.

Gomez said that she feels that her past relationships would affect how she pursues a new one. She shared, "Because I think people would think it's kind of dumb [to date me]. Nobody would want to throw themselves into that situation where it was so heightened publicly, like, why would they?" She did clear that she does not have time to date anyone as of the moment but is not turning her back on having fun and hanging out with possible suitors.

The singer then talked about what she likes in a guy. She said that she does not like guys who have the confidence to hit on her and she prefers a writer, a producer, or a low-key actor and someone who is not terrified of her and what she can bring on the table.

As for her career, Gomez said that she fought for the release of “Good For You” as the first single out of her Revival album. Accordingly, other wanted “Same Old Love” to be the first single out but she said that it would have been obvious and would only start the cycle of a “very vicious relationship.”
