Shakira reveals more over son’s illness, says everything is under control now

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Shakira recently cancelled two award show performances due to personal reasons and the singer recently took to Instagram to say that it was due to her son’s illness but assured fans everything is under control now.
Her son, 21-month-old Sasha, was seen smiling ear to ear in the photo posted by Shakira. In the snap, Shakira shared, "Thanks for all the messages you sent for Sasha while he was sick. Everything is under control now, and he's back to his cheerful self!"
Shakira was supposed to appear on Latin Grammys and American Music Awards but she announced on November 7 that she will be cancelling her appointments for these events. She tweeted back then, "Due to personal matters, I won't be able to travel to Las Vegas & LA to attend the @LatinGRAMMYs or the @AMAs this year. I will be accompanying @carlosvives in spirit @LatinGRAMMYs , celebrating this incredible year that we've shared together with # LaBicicleta ."
Shakira’s duet for “La Bicicleta” with Colombian artist Carlos Vives is up for Record of the Year as well as Song of the Year.
Later, Shakira posted another photo of Sasha with his big brother Milan. Milan and Sasha are Shakira’s children with her longtime partner Gerard Piqué . Milan is set to turn four this January 22.
Just recently, Shakira dropped her new single entitled “Chantaje” which loosely translates to blackmail. The track is in Spanish and it is the first track she has released since her 2014 self-titled album. She is currently preparing for her eleventh studio album.
