Initially, the suspect tried to enter a coffee shop. He was armed with a knife but a customer was able to hold the glass door shut and blocked the man.

Two of the victims were found inside the restaurant while another was found outside. Their names were not released. All of them suffered from stab wounds and were taken to area hospitals. Two of them are still in critical condition while one had non-life-threatening injuries.

A video showing some of the victims inside the fast food restaurant surfaced online. In the video, some people attended to a person who was bloodied from the stabbing. A belt was placed around the wounded arm of that person. It could also be heard in the video that people were asking for shoelaces to try and block the blood from coming out as one of the victims was starting to lose a lot of blood from the stabbing incident.
