Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Susan Sarandon finally cleared the years-long rumor that she and actress Julia Roberts were feuding on the set of “Stepmom.”
Sarandon, now 70, took to Twitter to talk about the 1998 rumor between her and the actress. She currently stars in the show “Feud” and her tweet was timely as it came while fans watched the latest episode of the show.
In the tweet of Sarandon, she tweeted a link of a 1998 Entertainment Tonight article about the alleged feud. She said alongside the link to the article, “Press printed that Julia & I hated each other during Stepmom. Found out it was my PR person creating rumors.”
In the 1998 article, Sarandon shared, “If you make a movie with a male star everyone assumes you’re f——. If it’s a female star, everyone assumes you’re fighting.” Roberts also said during that time that she and Sarandon actually hoped that people would say they were f***ing because the feuding rumors are boring.
More on Sarandon’s new show, “Feud,” she stars alongside Jessica Lange. They are the stars in the docu-drama of Ryan Murphy regarding the 1960s rivalry of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Sarandon recently shared on Twitter that people asked her if she and Lange get along on set and she humorously answered they are not only getting along they are now dating. She followed it up with this tweet, “…I mean, staying in touch. She’s one of the reasons I agreed to do the series. Working with brilliant actors only makes you better.”
