Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Tamar Braxton is said to leave “The real” and will no longer be part of the talk show next season as it has been rumored that she was fired from being a co-host.
The news was announced on Sunday and she and the show’s representative said that the decision was mutual. The announcement, however, came a day after Braxton took to Instagram to post a cryptic message about being stabbed in the back.
Braxton has co-hosted the daytime talk show with Tamera Mowry-Housley , Lone Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Bailon ever since it debuted in 2013. This is the first time that that a cast member will be leaving the show.
The full statement about Braxton’s departure reads: “The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar's efforts and the contributions she has made to the show's success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
In the cryptic post on Saturday, Braxton said that she loves everyone but she was stabbed in the back by someone she “stupidly trusted.” She pointed out that that person is not her sisters or her man. She added, "I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch…and it's not in good taste to tell you who…… but as # tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.” She continued to say in her post that not everyone who smiles at you is a friend and is also not cheering for you.
Braxton also said in her post that one person tried to tear her down and dim her light. She ended her statement thanking God for holding her future and that she will be taking a break from her social media accounts. She did not drop any names on her post.
An insider shared that Braxton is very heated that she is leaving the show. The insider added, “She’s holding what’s really transpired behind closed doors close to her chest, but she has been inundated with calls from other talk shows to spill the tea on what went down and she just might do it. She loved [The Real]. It was her bread and butter and she was sort of blindsided by this whole ordeal. She’s really pissed and having a hard time coping with this.”
