Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Kim Kardashian is not having it as she recently shared with GQ magazine that Taylor Swift lied about not knowing about the controversial song of the reality star’s husband, Kanye West, called “Famous.”
Fans freaked out over the song of West which opens with the following lyrics: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous.” The track was very controversial because Swift said during her Grammys acceptance speech that no one should take credit for her achievements seemingly dissing West.
West, on the other hand, has stood firm with his claims that Swift was notified about the song and that she approved the release noting that she thought it was cool.
Now, Kardashian shared with the magazine that Swift is just using the controversy to play the victim. Kardashian added, "She totally knew that ["Famous"] was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't." The mother of two said that they even have a video proof of when West was talking to the singer over the phone and she approved the specific line to be part of the song.
Kardashian continued to reveal, "I swear, my husband gets so much s–t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved. What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval? Rick Rubin was there. So many respected people in the music business heard that [conversation] and knew."
The mother of North and Saint then said she does not know why the “Shake It Off” singer flipped all of a sudden and said that it was funny because during the Grammy awards speech of Swift, she knew what really happened.
As for Swift, she and her team have released a statement regarding the GQ interview of Kardashian . Swift reportedly has nothing to hold against Kardashian as she knows that West just pressured her to say that.
The rep for Swift added, “A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for [her]. [Taylor] was on vacation with her family in January of 2016. They have not spoken since. Taylor has never denied that a conversation took place.” Swift reportedly heard the song the first time everyone else did and was not aware that she was being referenced in “Famous.”
Kardashian and West are yet to comment on the statements from Swift’s team.
