Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Disney greenlit the project regarding a “That’s So Raven” sequel titled “Raven’s Home” and new casting reports confirmed that Raven Baxter’s first love, from the original Disney series, will be part of the new show.

According to reports, Jonathan McDaniel, will reprise his role as Devon Carter. Devon Carter was the boyfriend of Raven when they were still in high school. He was part of the show for seasons two to four.

The story of “Raven’s Home” revolves around her being a mom of two kids. One of her kids has the same special skill she has, which is foreseeing the future. However, McDaniel’s addition to the sequel does not mean romantic relationship between him and Raven Symone’s character because it was revealed that he is the father of her two kids. It was initially revealed months ago that Raven is a single mother as she and the father of her kids have divorced. It was only later revealed that the father of the kids pertained to Devon Carter.

Devon was Raven’s long-time crush and they became an item after. However, they broke up after he had to move to Seattle. He still visited Raven whenever his father went to San Francisco.

Aside from Raven being a single mom, her best friend, Chelsea, played by Anneliese van der Pol, will also play the role of a divorced mother. They will raise their kids together inside the same household.

The twin kids of Raven are played by Isaac Ryan Brown and Navia Robinson. Brown’s character, Booker, will be the one who inherits the same ability as that of Raven. Robinson will play the role of Nia, Booker’s twin. As or the son of Chelsea, Levi, he will be played by Jason Maybaum.

In a statement by Gary Marsh, the president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, he said of the sequel, “There is only one Raven – and for over 25 years, she has blessed audiences around the world with the greatest gift of all – the pure, unadulterated joy of laugh-out-loud funny. After being a part of over 20 different Disney projects, we are thrilled to be bringing Raven home to Disney Channel once again.”

"Raven's Home" will air this July 21 on Disney Channel.
