Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Jaden and Willow Smith have covered the latest issue of Interview magazine and the two talked about their famous parents and life in general.
Willow talked to Pharrell Williams for the September issue of Interview magazine and she shared that growing up, all she saw was her parents trying to be the best people they could be. She added that others came to their parents, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, for wisdom and for guidance.
Willow added, "They always give back what people give to them. And sometimes they keep giving and giving and giving. And some people don't feel like they need to give anything back because it's like, 'Oh, if you're famous, you can just keep giving, and it doesn't matter.'" She also added that being raised by famous parents is not just about money and giving people gifts. She said that the way her parents raised them has given her “something spiritual only certain people can grasp and accept.”
Jaden then chimed in saying that his parents are his biggest role models. He said that their parents are their biggest inspirations as to why they want to change the world.
Jaden continued to reveal about him being close to Willow, "Throughout us realizing ourselves and realizing each other, we just opened our eyes and were like, 'Damn, you are the yin to my yang.' Not a lot of siblings have that opportunity, because they're always being pushed together so much. They need their time apart in order to realize themselves and realize who they are."
The two also talked about going on social media. Willow said that she sometimes feels like there is no reason behind having to check Instagram every five minutes. She revealed that she sees herself living in the mountains as she wants to retreat back to living off the land and be in nature. Jaden agrees with her sister’s plans.
