WWE announces Mick Foley, Daniel Bryan as new GMs for Raw, Smackdown

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – WWE’s Monday night episode introduced the new General Managers for Smackdown and Raw, which will be having separate rosters, are Daniel Bryan and Mick Foley, respectively.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose also took on each other to battle it out for the WWE Championship. Commissioners Stephanie McMahon, for Raw, and Shane McMahon, for Smackdown , chose their General Managers for the separate shows.

Before the announcements were made about their general manager, Stephanie shared that Raw will be getting an exclusive Cruiserweight division. She then went on to announce that her General Manager is Foley. As for Shane, his General Manager pick is Bryan. The introduction of the new General Managers lasted for around 20 minutes.

After that, WWE went on to let Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens battle Sami Zayn and Cesaro in a tag-team match. They were paying a tribute to Teddy Long. More on Jericho, he will be having Randy Orton as his guest on the special edition of the “Highlight Reel at Battleground.” This is the first outing of Orton since his injury and he is set to come back this August to battle Brock Lesnar during the SummerSlam .

Later on WWE’s Monday episode, 12 men were placed in the ring including John Cena, Big Cass, Enzo Amore, The New Days, The Wyatt Family and The Club. The group will be divided into two groups with six members each and they will face off during the six-man tag team matches this coming Sunday.

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch also took on Charlotte and Dana Brooke. The first two women were able to win the game via disqualification.

More on the WWE Championship, Ambrose and Rollins will be facing each other during Battleground. They will be joined by Roman Reigns for a triple threat match. In the WWE Championship, Rollins won and was declared by Stephanie as the new WWE Champion. However, many are not sure if the announcement is true although Rollins was seen ending the show with the title held up high.
