New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Gigi and Bella Hadid have been making it big in the modelling world as they have walked Rihanna’s Fenty X Puma runway show as well as appearing on billboards, other runway walks and magazine covers.
Their mother, Yolanda Foster, have then been questioned how her two daughters stay grounded despite the fame. Foster was in New York City for the New York Fashion Week and she shared, "At the end of the day, both Gigi and Bella are simple girls that were raised on a farm in Santa Barbara, riding horses every day of their lives.”
She pointed out that the modelling world is great and beautiful but it is just business and work. She added, “I can see when this all becomes too much, I put them on a horse, let them jump a couple of courses, and that's when they get back to, 'OK, I remember, this is who I am.'”
When asked about her health condition, since it has become public that she is battling Lyme disease, Foster noted that she is just excited to be there for NYFW .
She has sat front row to watch Gigi for the Tommy Hilfiger fall 2016 show. Foster shared that it is her second time to see her daughter walk the runway. She noted, “I managed to make it to the Victoria’s Secret show, and now this, but otherwise it’s too much for my body to handle. But I livestream everything. I make sure to watch it all online. Oftentimes I end up crying because I am just so proud. They grow up so fast, don’t they? But maternal instincts never stop.”
The mother of three is also in NYC to meet with publishers as she will be publishing a new book documenting her journey with the disease.
