Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Yolanda and David Foster shocked their fans when they announced that they were heading to a divorce after being together for years and now the mother of Bella and Gigi Hadid says she felt blindsided by the move of her estranged husband.

Four months after the announcement, the 52-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared that she felt blindsided more than anyone else as she did not think that was the end of their relationship. She shared her thoughts on “Watch What Happens Live” with host Andy Cohen. She added, “I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”

Yolanda has been battling Lyme disease since 2012, which struck her during her first year of marriage to 66-year-old David. She revealed that her disease changed the dynamic of her marriage but never thought that her relationship with her soon-to-be ex-husband would completely crumble.

She added, “You can’t underestimate how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all of the time. David didn’t change; I’m the one that changed. And I guess this is the outcome of that.”

As for the day that she knew exactly about the divorce, she noted that it was back in November 15. Two weeks after, specifically December 1, the joint announcement from the former couple was released.

She also shared during her latest interview, "Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way. Chronic long term illness is extremely challenging, not only for the person that's sick, but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of our relationship."

Despite the reports that Yolanda was faking her illness, David released statements in the past defending her although they have split. He shared before that he has been by Yolanda’s side over the past four years as she battled her disease. He added, "I am incredibly proud of Yolanda's determination and mission to find a cure, and how brave and open she has been by sharing her story in the hopes of changing the future for others."

As of now, Yolanda is staying at a condo near to where she gets her treatment for her disease. The mother of three noted that she and David still stay in touch but it seems that their divorce is final.
